Hotel Onde Verde-perfect!
If you are planning a trip to Italy, enjoy the Amalfi
coastline from this gem of a hotel! This place was fabulous! We had
planned to stay only two nights and ended up staying four (in Sept 07)
it was so lovely. The Milano family runs this hotel and they were
terrific. Sophia and Casi Miro were just great. The room was lovely,
clean, and what a view of the sea. All the views were incredible and the
food was delicious. We enjoyed each meal on the terrace and even when it
was too windy, the view is still lovely from inside the restaurant. They
arranged transportation and excursions. One of the staff members even
drove me to town to use an ATM machine! Our waiter (Ralphello I think
was his name) was terrific and the chefs meals were so tasty. They make
the best lemoncello we experienced in Italy. The day we arrived we were
hungry and asked if they could prepare us a snack. Out came our first
taste of Italy--Caprese salad (tomato, basil, olive oil and mozerella
cheese)--melted in our mouths! I just can't say enough good things about
this hotel. A personal touch from the family and away from the hustle
and bustle . You can easily ride the local bus to visit towns along the
coast. We headed north and enjoyed more of Italy but this gem was our
favorite! I'm surprised it's rated as only a 3 star. Milano

Moonlit water from Hotel Onde Verde Restaurant
We have just returned from a wonderful 7 day stay
at the Hotel Onde Verde in Praiano. It affords a paradise of vistas
both during the day and at night. The hotel is situated within easy
reach of Amalfi, and Positano, either by local bus (SITA), or by water
taxi.
It is a joy to return to after a day of hustle and bustle in the
busier centres, and we relaxed in our room, or on the sun deck, or
when we wanted privacy, on our private balcony.
Our sincere thanks and appreciation to Miro, Guiseppe, Raffaelli,
Nicola, Sophie, the staff who cleaned our room, and apologies if I
have missed anyone. You are all wonderful, and we would be pleased and
thrilled to return to your beautiful hotel again soon.
Miro arranged all our excursions, bus tickets, water taxis, days to
Ravello, Capri, Vesuvius and Pompeii. He was courteous and very
helpful and nothing seemed to fluster him. Nicola, the chef, was
friendly and approachable and parted with his lemon sauce recipe
simply because we commented on how wonderful it tasted. Our waiters,
Guiseppe and Raffaelli were helpful and
knowledgable about the local foods and local wines and entertained
questions with a smile and offered information that made them seem
like friends rather than strangers. All of the staff made our stay far
more enjoyable by treating us like returning friends. Language was not
a issue as everyone spoke far better English than we spoke Italian.
All in all, a beautiful and rewarding holiday. Thank you all.
We would recommend this hotel and location in particular, for anyone
looking for a romantic getaway, or simply a great place to enjoy the
Amalfi Coast and all its glorious scenery.

“Fantastic as Always”

OK, once again the staff at the hotel has exceeded
all of my expectations. Casimiro and his family have made my entire
family ( 8 people, 4 rooms) feel like the hotel was our own home.
We have stayed here before and, because of the location and the beauty
of the area, wanted to stay here once again. The location is quiet yet
close to everything via the SITA bus. Went to the Africanna Night Club
for the first time and it was awsome. This Hotel was
very reasonably priced and we took the half board option. (breakfast
and dinner included) the staff in the restaurant is friendly,
professional, and eager to please.
As for the view... breathtaking.
the hotel took care of getting us picked up at the train station in
Naples. The driver was waiting for us with a sign. It is expensive to
transit from Naples to Priano but that's just the way it is. It is a
one hour ride.
Do yourself a real favor and get away from it all and stay at this
hotel. You will never forget it.

site is excellent but cannot do justice to the awesome location and
quality features of the hotel itself.
The pre-arranged pick-up at the railway station in Naples went perfectly
and Stanislaw, our driver, was very pleasant and helpful, not only on
this drive, but later in driving us to the station in Salerno.

we had in July '08 at your cozy hotel. Everything we experienced exceded
our expectations!
Upon arrival to our room, we were takes aback by the incredible view of
from the balcony, truly something to take pride in. The location of the
hotel is perfect!
All we can say about the meals and service is wow! Simply delicious food
and friendly waitstaff. We felt at home, although a couple thousand
miles away.
We really enjoyed the excursions included in the 7 nights package to
Vesuvius/Pompei and Capri, as well as our own visits to Amalfi, Positano
and Ravello. Such beauty is rare indeed.
The weather during our stay was so great, not one drop of rain. Praiano
is such a nice, quaint town, and getting anywhere along the Amalfi coast
was simple. We look forward to a return visit.

Dear Miro, staff and family – We just got home last night and our stay
at Onde Verde was the best of our vacation. Having stayed with you two
years ago I knew that it would be but my mother and my aunt were just

November 2007, a few days before you closed. My husband, son and soon
to be daughter-in-law were with me. Everyone had a wonderful time. I
tell everyone that if I could take just one vacation and stay exactly
where I wanted in a perfect setting it would be there. At night I
would go out on the balcony and look at the moonlight on the
Mediterranean and thought "how perfect". The bottle of Limoncello you
gave me, I gave to my son and his bride as a reminder of our wonderful
stay. Brandon and Lauren were married a week later in Positano and I
thank you for helping to make our trip so much more enjoyable.
Although we stayed several places in our time in Italy, yours was the
most perfect and the place I tell everyone about. The views, the
people, your staff were so polite and friendly. The food was wonderful.
Thank you for the recipe for the limoncello although we have not tried
it yet, we plan to. For anyone reading this, if you go to the Almalfi
coast, do not miss staying at the Onda Verde. You will never forget it
and will be so glad you did.

Whether feasting on the view over a silver sea at breakfast or a pink
sky at dinner, we really enjoyed our meals at Hotel Onda Verde. Every
evening a variety of fish or meat dishes with local pastas gave us
plenty of choice.
Our well-appointed room had a beautiful outlook. All the staff were so
friendly, helpful and interested in what you planned to do or where
you had been.
From the hotel, it was so easy to take a bus to Amalfi and Ravello or
to Positano and Sorrento; or a water taxi from the pier; or a swim in
the clear water below.
We went on excursions to Capri and Herculaneum – both organised by the
hotel and well worth seeing.
We found this ‘jewel of the Amalfi coast’ via their website and the
hotel was all they say it is and much more.
So thanks, Miro and all your staff at Hotel Onda Verde for a wonderful
holiday – we intend returning as soon as possible!

We have just arrived back from a wonderful week at your beautiful
hotel. We were recommended by friends who stayed there five years ago
- we were certainly not disappointed in any way - in fact it was
better than they had described. The hotel staff were extremely
friendly, and made a big fuss of us on our 28th Wedding Anniversary,
which was only quietly mentioned to one of the waiters that evening!
Everywhere was clean and fresh, we had a lovely room and we looked
forward to our delicious meals in the evenings taking in the beautiful
surroundings.

The Amalfi coastline is an incredible place to visit and having
discovered by chance the lovely friendly family run Hotel Onda Verde two
years ago, we have just come back from our 2nd. visit and can't wait to
go back again.
Miro and his wife and their attentive staff offer a friendly welcome in
relaxed surroundings. The hotel has developed in an interesting and
unique way due to its cliffside location. the rooms are clean, bright (recently
refurbished) and we enjoyed strolling down in the evening to eat really
good food in the terraced restaurant.
While sometimes it can be enough to feel away from it all relaxing on
the sun terrace or launching ourselves into the clear clean water, this
time we went on some of the beautiful walks the the area is becoming
well known for, meandering along mountain paths and through awe
inspiring gorges, the views were dramatic.
The Hotel Onda Verde is ideally placed for the walks, which added
another dimension to our holiday, and lying halfway between Amalfi and
Positano, there's always plenty to see and do.

We were very satisfied to have chosen your hotel for our week's holiday
on the Amalfi Coast. The location in Praiano is ideal as it is situated
in a prime position for easy access to Amalfi and Positano and in
particular for the wonderful walks in the Lattiri Mountains. The paths
on these walks are well marked and the amazing views are worth the
effort of the climb. We shall never forget the view from the Belvedere
at the Villa Cimbrone. The staff at Hotel Onde Verde were all friendly
and supportive and made many helpful suggestions for our walks ( and for
the wines from the bar after a day on the mountains!). I strongly
recommend your hotel to any potential holidaymakers looking for

My Fiance and I spent 10 days at the Onda Verde in June 2007. We had the
most wonderful holiday, the location of the hotel is superb, the views
are beautiful and we never tired of looking across the coastline into
the blue sea.
The staff at the hotel simply could not be better, they are so helpful
and we really liked them as they were so helpful in every situation.
Their warmth feels entirely genuine and we were sorry to leave!
There is plenty to do to keep you busy during the day if you want to,
easy to get to by the scary local buses from outside the hotel (worth it
for the white knuckle ride along the thin coastal roads alone) or by
glamorous boat. The hotel is perched above a tiny fishing beach, which
has a few charming restaurants, pretty to sit in the evening and have a
few drinks. Local food is superb and the local nightclub was great and
even had a decent guest DJ on whilst we were there.
The village behind the hotel is interesting to walk through if you
choose the winding pathways and the local shop is worth a visit too!
The amalfi coast is not a big beach area because of the sheer cliffs and
the water was freezing but we really loved basking in the sun from the
lovely sundeck at the hotel and enjoying some chilled white wine! I felt
like we were in a set from James Bond, watching the yachts go by.....
